Zita Arocha is a bilingual journalist, writer, and educator who focuses on issues of immigration, the Latino experience in America, and creating a diverse news media landscape that reflects the multicultural reality we live in daily. 

Over decades of writing news and feature stories for major media outlets and a recent memoir, Guajira, the Cuba Girl, I aspire to touch the lives of others with similar experiences of exile  and adaptation.

Through my writing and teaching I strive to celebrate the lives and realities of individuals and communities that are an integral part of the diverse fabric of U.S. society.
